Casual Dinner @ Happy Cook Restaurant, Bukit Jalil

Members of five different families were together on a short holiday trip, and somehow, due to time factor (it was almost 9pm and we have not taken dinner!), we ended up in Happy Cook! At that time, simple economic rice will do to satisfy our extreme hunger(esp. after all the walking from the shop-till-the-leg-numb day).

It was our first time patronizing this restaurant. Dishes were ordered by the 'experts' (parents). They were simple dishes that probably some families would have them every night for dinner at home. Overall, the food was good, seriously, but yea, a very high possibility that it's due to my prolonged hunger. So rather than focusing on the taste, I'd say the spacious dining hall soothed our tiring day!

#1 Stir-fried potato leaves with garlic.

#2 Stir-fried assorted vegetables (lotus root, beans, black fungi, etc)

#3 Fish fillets with ginger and scallions

#4 Marmite chicken meat

#5 Siamese glass noodles *highly recommended*

#6 Silk tofu with crab meat gravy

#7 Steamed brocolli with scallops

If you think in number
s:
Price: 8.5/10 (~MYR12/person, reasonable for a restaurant)
Service: 7/10 (The serving is a bit slower than expected, probably we were too hungry??)
Environment: 8.5/10 (Brightly lit, spacious and air-conditioned)
Food: 9/10 (Satisfactory! Everyone goes home 'Happy Cook-ed')
Comments: Despite the fact that their serving time is longer than usual (~40minutes), I strongly recommend you to dine there for a comfortable and sumptuous meal when you're in for a laid back meal.
